Why 108?

What does 108 stand for?

I get tons of messages that all ask the same thing: "What does 108 stand for? What does it symbolize to you?". Honestly, 108 has been following us for the past ten years. When it shows up, we know we should follow it.

• 108 stitches on a baseball. Robbie plays professional baseball.
• 108 beads on a yoga mala necklace. Brittany practices and teacher yoga.
• 108 beads on a Catholic Rosary. We're not Catholic, but we love the Pope. :)
• In 2016, the Chicago Cubs won the World Series after a 108 year "curse." One of our very best friends is on that team.
• Robbie played the 108th play off game for the Texas Rangers.
• Psalm 108 is in the center of the Bible.
• In India, 108 is a sacred number. India is the country that prompted Brittany to start Mission 108.
• There are 108 points of intersection defined in the human body.
• In many faiths, numbers have meaning:
      - 1 symbolizes God and/or a Higher Truth
      - 0 symbolizes having no beginning or end or completeness of spirituality and faith
      - 8 symbolizes infinity and eternity or spending eternity with God.
• The distance between the Sun and the Earth is 108 times the Sun's diameter.
• The distance between the Moon and the Earth is 108 times the Moon's diameter.

Our entire family and closest friends believe in the number. Robbie even has 108 tattooed on his arm! At the end of my talks I tell people that, once you've heard about 108 you'll begin to notice it more often. It'll start to show up in your life when you aren't looking for it. Welcome to the 108 Tribe!
